The Best Is Yet To Be
To the person in our house who would rather ignore, not celebrate, his BIG birthday this week, I say:
Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith “A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!”
Excerpt from Rabbi Ben Ezra by Robert Browning; read the rest here.
Jeffrey R. Holland quoted this poem at Brigham Young University on Jan. 13. Listen to Remember Lot’s Wife to hear what he said about looking forward and not back.
