I used to be young like this new asparagus shoot.
By John Harrison’s definition, I know I am growing older.

My goal this spring Easter week is to clean away the debris, water my dry soil
and see if I can’t uncover some hidden growth possibilities.

If I don’t find any, I think I’ll have to plant something;
I’m not giving up that easily.
