My Husband’s Favorite Posts
My husband’s favorite posts from my first year of writing here are well-suited for a Sunday post. First, I’m republishing a photograph and verse I wrote that expresses how I feel about his service as a bishop in the LDS Church.
The Bishop’s Wife, originally published on March 26, 2008.

Six she prepares,
the seventh he wears.
In this silent time
set apart to serve Him.
Second, he also recommends the series of interviews called Conversations with a Jewish Rabbi and a Mormon Bishop, originally published in April 2008.
Conversations with a Jewish Rabbi and a Mormon Bishop, Part I
Conversations with a Jewish Rabbi and a Mormon Bishop, Part II
Conversations with a Jewish Rabbi and a Mormon Bishop, Part III
Conversations with a Jewish Rabbi and a Mormon Bishop, Part IV

What a fascinating conversation! I’m glad you re-posted it. There are so many similarities and the differences don’t seem all that different when placed next to each other.
That’s something I’ve noticed more and more is that the similarities are magnified when we let the differences fade away. Indeed there are differences, but focusing on the similarities allows us to even have the conversation.
